I love comedy television series. but there are some great serious ones...it seems like every day there is a new great tv series.
Here is the place where I will be writing about them.
Friends is what a comedy tv show is all about
When asked what the best TV Comedy Show of all times is I have a fast answer: FRIENDS ( F.R.I.E.N.D.S ).
Why? Well, to start, Friends is the only series that I can see over and over almost every day from the last 6 years of my life. I just can't get enough.
Of course there are other great comedy series that I like but Friends is the only that I don't get tired of. The jokes are so well written that most of them are like new for me every time I see it. Most of the comedy series are funny and make me laugh but once I see it once is enough.
It is very easy to find what I call "Friends jokes" in the new comedy series. There are always some jokes and situations that already happened in Friends some years ago...
But what is actually great about Friends?
The fact that there is 6 great characters, each one of them with a great story behind. It makes each one of us to compare to them and see which one are we.
The text is written in a way that there is always a joke. In most comedy series you have something happening, some dialogue going on that lead to a joke. Not with Friends, in this great series the dialogue is the joke. If one sentence is not supposed to be funny the answer to that is. That is brilliant. Of course not all jokes are great, but at least there is always something there, even in the most serious situations.
Plot:
The difficulties of the real world make six young people meet. They find in each other the support and comfort needed to survive the pressures of life.
Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, this series deserves to be seen. To be fully appreciated you need to see more than one episode, start understanding the characters and the reasons they do and say things. You will end up feeling like you are part of the group (most of the times wishing your really were) and understanding the private jokes.
I started collecting the series one by one as I couldn't afford the whole 10 seasons pack. Now it is possible to find the complete pack very cheap and it is really worth buying.
